Apple & Sultana Wraps

I'm always on the lookout for Quick, Easy and Cheap meals and snacks. I found this one in an old magazine I had been given and I decided to try it out for lunch today. DELICIOUS!

Ingredients
- Tortillas - I used a 6 pack but had enough ingredients to make 8 or even more
- Cream cheese
- Cinnamon
- 1 can of diced Apple

Instructions
1. Take a tortilla and spread it with cream cheese (next time I will spread it a bit thicker)
2. Spoon some diced apple into the middle
3. Put some sultanas on top of the apple
4. Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top
5. Fold the top, bottom and sides of the wrap
6. Put in the sandwich press for about a minute until the wraps are nice and brown
7. EAT!

Delicious - and so nice and warm on a cold rainy day. I'll definately be making these again.
Let me know if you try these and what you think of them or if you make any variations. :-)

Icing, what icing??

I hate making icing - I hate the taste of it and I also really hate the texture of it on my teeth and in my mouth - weird I know....

I found this little gem...

It's so yummy, and soft, and easy to put on, and did I mention YUMMY!?

Look at it....

Are ya licking ya lips right now??

I want to eat the whole thing with a spoon! I did eat some!

The rest went here....

Sunday afternoon...

Today we didn't go to church as our Little Miss has been in hospital over the weekend - she has been diagnosed with asthma so we decided to stay at home and work on getting her better.

This is what i've been doing today...

More notepads :-)

and... the other day a power company dropped off a flyer in our mailbox trying to get us to switch to them - no thanks we're quite happy with our current power company.

Anyway... on the flyer was a recipe for Vanilla white chocolate cookies... pretty tasty I thought so today I made them... the are so quick and asy to make - I was finished in half an hour!

YUM....

and they taste really good! If you want the recipe email me... unless you got a flyer too :-)

Uh.....

So, in our house it's tradition to have a big breakfast/brunch/lunch on special occassions.

Today was a special occassion as it's Mother's Day (HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MUMS!)

On today's menu it was French Toast with Bacon and Bananas - YUM!

We opened a new bottle of Maple Syrup... (just remember there are only 2 of us who eat the french toast)

We may have got a little excited about the Maple Syrup though...

P.S - A tiny fly got stuck in Matthew's Maple syrup.... Lucky he only had a couple of bites left - no where near the fly!

A what sandwich??

So..... As you all know, we were due to leave Dunedin today (Monday 19th) but another hiccup prevented us from going once again.... This time our Little Miss got sick with Bronciolitis and we were advised it would be best not to travel so we delayed our ferry crossing until tomorrow (Tuesday).

Tonight, in preperation for our long journey to the ferry, I decided to be a good wife and mummy and make a packed lunch for us to eat on the way so that as long as our Little Miss is sleeping, we can continue driving.

So I prepare to make sandwiches, and Patricia is standing beside me watching - she says to me, "would you like some spreads for your sandwiches" and i say, "spreads, what do you mean"... she then looks at me puzzled and says, "you know, like Marmite or Jam"

I laugh and say, "nah, i've got Lettuce, meat, cheese and tomato, so I can make 'Man Sandwiches' for Matthew"....

BLESS HER HEART.... She replies,

"Oh, you want Antique Sandwiches"
LOVE LOVE LOVE her!
Here is what an Antique Sandwich looks like:
